Christopher Polydoroff is an award-winning photographer who has been shooting pictures professionally for more than 18 years. His style is a stunning hybrid of photojournalism and fine art photography, allowing him to capture the spirit of his subjects and tell their story in a way that has a marked influence on the viewer.
His photographs are a culmination of his life experience and desire to know the world around him. He graduated summa cum laude from the University of Virginia with a degree in cultural anthropology. This was followed by a year-long road trip around the U.S. in a Chevy van with his best friend, a two-year assignment in a remote, mountainous, farming village in the Philippines with the Peace Corps, and finally, a master’s degree in photojournalism from Ohio University.
Christopher is adept at making his subjects feel comfortable, allowing their true essence to come through in his photographs. His photographs have a "real-life" documentary feel to them, as opposed to the stiff, posed corporate portrait. He has shot photographs in a wide variety of settings and is comfortable taking his craft anywhere. He has also worked with subjects ranging from corporate CEOs to migrant farm workers to fashion models to children. His more feature-oriented work has also included food and other products.
He is available for one-time freelance assignments and corporate commissions. He works closely with clients to arrive at a clear understanding of their objective for the shoot and their planned use for the photographs and welcomes his clients’ guidance and direction.
